Club soccer begins!

Another Monday! But this is a short week, as Emma & I head to Vegas Friday for a soccer tournament. Looking forward to that. Be fun to watch them play and also to get Emma more freeway driving experience. She had a scrimmage Saturday and that was fun to see everyone. Been some time since I saw many of the parents. Lots of hugs as we reintroduce ourselves. Girls played well and the result was a 2-2 tie. Danny continues to shine with some excellent ball handling skills. She can do the spin and is fun to watch her juke out the defense. Emma didn't play that much, will be interesting to see if that was just due to scrimmage or if coach is playing her less. We'll see. Be very interesting to see how well they do in Vegas.

Emma did great driving. She is a very good driver. When talking about driving she doesn't give that air of confidence so my expectation was low but she did really well. After our soccer game we went out to dinner with a few families then Emma drove us home. When we got back to LB, Emma wanted Dunkin and I was game too. More driving experience and quality time with Emma so I'm always up for that.

After we got home, Jacquelyn & I walked Oliver to the park. We didn't stay long at the dog park since this dog came that won't leave Oliver alone so we left. The owner of that dog needs to train his dog more so he doesn't display this annoying behavior. We wound up getting a great walk in for Oliver and also great quality time with J. Then J & I went to CostCo and got some necessities. Then we tried this local Mexican restaurant near my place and it was great. Very authentic and reasonable. A great combination. After dinner we just came back to the house and hung out. We watched a little over 1/2 of Dune 1. We are prepping for Dune 2 which came out recently and we heard it is great! Emma and I may see next weekend on our way home from Vegas. We shall see.

A wonderful Saturday with the girls, then Sunday I didn't do much at all. Worked out in the morning then met a friend at Huntington Beach at this coffee place, Java Man. It was great. We had Mexican Mocha coffee and muffins, which I love.
